I need your help.

I am raising funds for my Special Olympics East Valley Golf Program.  We have 32 Special Olympics golfers who have a passion for playing golf.  Each athlete plays on a team typically with a parent or a good friend.  We play year-round at many challenging golf courses in Arizona.  This year we will be playing at Sun City CC, Augusta Ranch in Mesa, Oak Creek CC in Sedona, Whirlwind at Wild Horse Pass,  Antelope Hills in Prescott, Omni in Tucson, Bison in Show Low, The I Got This Championship, and the Special Olympics National Golf Championship.

All of the funds raised will go to support this special year round golf program. These funds also enable us to participate in the Special Olympics National Invitational Golf Tournament if we are lucky enough to be selected. 

I have participated in Eight National Invitational Golf Tournaments:  2006 in Ames Iowa, 2011 at Port St Lucie Florida, 2013 in Galloway New Jersey, 2015 at Hilton Head, 2016 in Port St Lucie, 2017 in Seattle, 2019 in Nashville, and 2023 in Galloway New Jersey. I received a Silver medal in six of the events. In Iowa, my father and I played at Level 2 (9 holes Alternate Shot). In Florida we played together as a team at Level 3 (18 holes Alternate Shot). In New Jersey, Hilton Head, Florida, Seattle, Nashville, and New Jersey,  I played at level 4 (9 holes by myself) for three days, and Dad was my caddy. Golf is my passion and I look forward to playing every week. My goal is to be able to compete at Level 5 (18 holes by myself) in the future at the National Invitational Tournament. Special Olympics has given me the opportunity to meet and play golf with some of my favorite professional golfers and celebrities like Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, Luis Gonzalez, Zach Gallon, and coach Bruce Arians.

How can you help?

The Thunderbirds have given us a great opportunity to raise funds by matching all donations by an additional 10%. One hundred percent of the funds stay in our Special Olympics golf program and enable us to continue to play golf and improve our game. Your help comes from sponsoring me with a one time donation, or  a Pledge per Birdie for the 4 days of the Tournament.
